The minimap frame and objects (such as the arrow and dots) do not render, but the map itself still does. The config window also does not show up after executing /mm, however it shows itself for brief moments during loading screens.
The pc is using an AMD GPU which is known to cause problems with minimap. After installing dgvoodoo, the issue was corrected. However, this introduces other problems such as low quality log text.

This issue is generally only a thing on AMD GPU's or AMD mobile GPU chips. Some have had success fixing it by using a Direct3D proxy such as dgVoodoo. You can find that here: http://dege.freeweb.hu/dgVoodoo2/dgVoodoo2/
Others have also reported rolling back their driver or updating to newer versions has helped/fixed the problem on their end too.
At the moment, since I have no AMD GPU to test with, I am unable to determine the actual reason/cause to this other than assuming it to be an AMD driver bug/issue.

Friend and I are having this exact same issue. Can't figure out how to get it fixed at all.

This should be fixed now from recent updates to Ashita and Minimap.
